There seems to be a major acute problem. There were a series of Windows Updates today and I think they broke the Windows apps. All of apps like Store, Mail, People, Calendar, Note (onenoteim.exe), etc. are now crashing (they just flash on the screen and disappear when you try to launch them).

- Tried using the System File Checker in an elevated command prompt: 'sfc /scannow', and it 'didn't find any integrity violations.'
- Tried getting a support call 'as soon as possible,' and after a 6-hour wait, the support person named Ron remote-connected and:

- Tried the command line in elevated command prompt: 'dism online cleanup-image restorehelp', which didn't help.

I can't even seem to open a picture as the default program happens to be a Windows 10 built-in app, so ending up having to change it to Windows Photo Viewer or something.
